ER Reading Report #5: Sketch it!

Hi, everyone! Welcome back to my blog! Today, I will sketch the scene of the story from English e-Reader. Let’s get started!

Previously, I have read a story in English e-Reader and the level B1 Pre-intermediate. The story is entitled “The Champion of the World” written by Roald Dahl and consisting of 23 pages with total words is 6107. The genre of the story is short-story. The link of story is below this image.

This story tells of Claud and Gordon who are hunters of pheasants. One day, they have an invitation that the shooting season begins on Saturday. Then, they had planned to hunt pheasants. Next, Claud and Gordon prepared what methods to use when they were hunting. From some methods, they were decided to use pills so that the pheasants can pass out. At night, they went into the wood to hunted and waited a long time to get many pheasants. After they had many pheasants, they back to the gas station by taxi and left the pheasants at Bessie's house (a wife of the local vicar Jack Organ who likes pheasant). Seen from a distance, Bessie ran at high speed by pushing a pram towards Claud and Gordon. Suddenly, one by one of the pheasants flew up out of the pram. Finally, the pheasants filled the street around the gas station.

This is my drawing from the story:

Now, I will explain my drawing. The scene is when Claud and Gordon were hunting in the wood. More precisely, when they waited for a long time to get many pheasants. They waited behind the tree while squatting. They hoped no ranger would see them.

The reason why I choose that scene is because when Claud and Gordon waited for many pheasants and hoped no ranger would see them, it is straining. So, I think the scene is one of the good scenes of the story.

That's all from me. I hope you can enjoy it. Thank you.😊
